Summer is my favorite season. The long days of light, warm weather, warm colors, and a slower schedule are all reasons why I love it.
We don’t have air conditioning. Sometimes it’s better to sleep outside than inside.
What to do with friends in the summer? I made them go for a bike ride.
Heidi and Lacey are like all other kids. They like to photobomb.
It’s a mixing of the seasons on this day. We cleaned out the basement and the sleds were out. Apparently they work on the slip and slide.
Lighting can change photos so much. The photo above was in the middle of the day in the shade. Below, Lacey is playing in the direct sun that has a very warm look to it this late in the day.
Direct sun brings high contrast and drama. Heidi and drama are one and the same.
We went to the rodeo with the family and friends.
Back to the dust and dirt road. They reminded me of harvesters. Heidi, Silas, and Lacey are dust harvesters.
Jema heard all the commotion and came down to check it out.
