Welcome to my world. I say it sarcastically sometimes to my husband, but I don’t really want it to be that way, sarcastic. Taking photos everyday has made me appreciate life, family, and crazy. It’s not just a feeling that is reserved for when I look back at the photos, but those feelings are there all the time. The photos just let me enjoy them again, since my brain seems to forget things so fast.
The best toy investment we’ve made.
No reason or story for this photo except that Heidi is working. My favorite part is the shirt, which says “Hug me”. It makes me hug her, as if I needed any nudging.
Because I want to remember how they ate their pixie sticks. Also, the whiteboard will help me remember that math facts don’t just happen, they are hard work.
We are a relaxed home. That is why they play tag on rollerblades here, and not at their own home where parents have sensible rules enforced.
Karaoke is a favorite and they are my superstars!
Meet Zoe.
She is the one responsible for the what our friends call the graveyard, which is really the driveway. These animals are her friends.
I was opposed to the idea of kids having phases. That was until I had kids, then my lofty ideas changed. Phases happen and that makes me smile. Each time one of ours makes it to five years, it’s time to let go of hurrying, because that just doesn’t happen at this stage of life. You might wonder why there are so many photos of Lacey tying her shoes. It’s because it took awhile, but it was worth it since she got it just right.
After concentrating on Lacey, I turned around and see this. I don’t make them do these sorts of things, it just happens.
