Parents and kids enjoy adventures. But I think dogs absolutely LOVE coming along. We were preparing to go and she installed herself in a spot that guaranteed her coming along.
Who gets to ride shotgun?
Can you tell who won?
Just another example of why we still refer to them as ‘kids’.
Each picture on this particular day seemed to tell a crazy story all by itself.
Zoe was determined to be at the front of the line ALL DAY long. I’m not sure how she got loose here, but it didn’t last long. The pictures don’t show it, but Clear Lake was so busy. I think Kena counted 18 boats out on the water, but we ran across a family fishing that had a bunch of really large trout they caught. No boat is necessary!
I think I told them to make the face that they recognize on Heidi in this photo. I’m not sure what they were doing in the above photo.
She’s ‘hiding’.
The day was really cloudy, so the view of Clear Lake itself wasn’t so impressive. Once we made it to the side where the water flowed out of the hill, that was a highlight!
Zoe LOVES to swim. She didn’t stay in long. And the unintended consequence was that she stirred up some silt and the pool was not quite so clear afterward.
Since Sahalie Falls was super close, we popped over there to take a look. If we thought Clear Lake was busy, it was nothing compared to the parking lot here. People were parking out on the highway and the trail was packed.
Wading through the hordes of people was made worth it, just because of this log.
We decided to come back another day when there weren’t so many people around.
