Confession [Corvallis, Oregon Kids Photographer]
I’ve been a little slack in putting up regular posts these last couple of weeks and I really don’t have an overwhelming reason. Instead it’s just alot of little ones: sunny days, many photos to edit, school work (I loved school as a kid and now I’d rather throw it out the window!!), kids and sports, sunny days, and popsicles.

I love the sun, but…..[Corvallis, Or Photographer]
Taking photos in the heat of the day is not my most favorite set of conditions, but sometimes you just get to make the most of it. One of my backup plans to a REALLY sunny day (it really does happen frequently in Oregon!) is to take the photo into the sun to avoid the squinty eyes and big shadows. It’s a bit tougher to keep the contrast and correct colors, but at least the lighting on the face is even. To top it off, the summery feeling from a photo backlit from the sun can be a cheery thing, especially in December!
