Professional headshots are such a necessity for everyone involved in business.  Visual media is used for everything whether it be online through your website or social media (Facebook, Myspace, etc.) or on printed media like business cards, flyers, billboards, etc.  You need pictures!  But what most people balk at it is getting a good shot of themselves to display.  Who has a great picture of themselves lying around to use for such a thing?  Bear with me on this, I’m teasing you along, wanting to get you thinking about the benefits of having your own headshot done professionally.

Since we all know how important it is to display your own picture as you market, let’s think about the type of picture you’ll show.  A professionally done headshot will set you apart.  People will notice that you’re intent on putting out the effort to excel.

Sneaking in behind all that good stuff I just mentioned, there is another positive impact upon you: you’ll gain confidence.  Most folks get in front of a camera and feel pretty awkward or prepared for the worst image to come from the shoot.  I’m amazed how common this feeling is: some of those junior high feelings just don’t go away.  It’s easy for me to say this, being on the other side of the camera, but it is truly exciting each time to see how good people look (haven’t met an ugly person yet!) and to capture that in an image.  It’s hard to explain what I see from my view, but everyone has such a special look about them when they show off their smile.  Generally this doesn’t come right at the beginning, but as we banter about and even when I let them have a sneak peek at what I see through the camera, the stiff smile will gradually melt and the personality starts to pour out.  That’s a pretty big concept for me to try to share in just a few words, but if what I’m trying to get at is that once you see your final image, it’s pretty exciting and gives you an extra bounce in your step.  This is just another added edge to help you succeed in your cause.

I do hope jillions of folks realize that I headshot is a must for them and call me up ASAP.  Not just because I like the business, but I really enjoy doing them!  It’s such a fun thing to encourage people about themselves and to see them gain just a little more love in life from a simple thing like a picture.

Whew, I’ll step off my soapbox and let you take a look down below.  I put just a couple examples of some more recent headshots done.  Just think….it could be you:)

Are those two women related to each other?? Just kidding.

Thank you for doing such a great job on the headshot. It was fun, and you made what is usually a very uncomfortable experience feel very natural— even enjoyable. What a treat to have fun AND have a great product when walking out the door. Everyone needs a headshot, and you are the right person to get the job done!
